New Blog Launched: “Words Worth A Thousand Pictures”
To stretch my creative muscles, massage my right brain, and develop my writing skill, I have started a new blog entitled “Words Worth A Thousand Pictures.”
But before you dive into the deep, dark recesses of my infected psyche, I should warn you that this is not for the faint of heart. If you’re overly sensitive, you’ll undoubtedly think less of me after reading the blog.
The blog began as a daily ritual to tap into my right brain, after urging from my mentor Roy H. Williams, founder of Wizard Academy.
The daily ritual, as inspired by the book Accidental Magic, is to choose an interesting vintage photograph, then limit myself to 20 minutes to write the story of the photograph.
In a larger sense, the goal is to demonstrate that our minds are far more impacted by words than visual imagery, a fact which has been proven by cognitive neuroscience.
If you dare, swim around, make a comment or 17, and feel free to share any content you find particularly intriguing, compelling, or just plain weird.
Stories are published daily, so if you find them interesting, you’ll want to subscribe via either RSS or email at the top right of the sidebar.
Enjoy! (Or shudder, as the case may be.)
